anyone in seattle area looking for ve 5spd?
I found a $500 93 VE 5 spd on craigslist last night, 159k miles gray w/sunroof. The VTC clack,he doesn't know what is the clack tho so thinks somethigns could be majorily wrong, you can ground out the solenoids or dig into it further and rebuilt the vtc's. the guy couldnt find the pcv valve to change it, thats a $3 fix. Powersteering leaks, Im assuming the hose, thats easy fix. Needs new tires. The front right side makes a ticking sound( I think the axle needs replaced $75 DIY)
power locks are intermitent. Theres a write up here how to fix that, Ive fixed mine on my max and it was easy and only cost me $15 for a solder iron.
Anyways. Being im paying off a truck I just bought. And It seems like im always replacing something on my current max. I just don't have the time and future cash flow to fix this car up. So I offer it to anyone in the area that wants a VE 5spd that runs and drives but needs work. What he says needs done totals to like $200 in parts. Then however cheap you can get tires for.
Oh ya. Its already lowered, not sure what he used tho.

ya I wish I had the time/money. If hours weren't getting cut baack at work Id buy it and park it in driveway and just work on it as I got time.
I know Im going to be kicking myself down the road

I got my VE for $500 and I'm in the Seattle area.
I originally paid $1500 for the car, but when i was doing the preventative maintenance i found oil on the plugs and confronted the previous owner. I demanded that he give me $1000 back because there was oil on the plugs and my father and I were convinced that he knew and screwed us. The previous owner denied knowing about it but surprisingly agreed to give back the money. Turned out to just be a bad valve cover gasket after a compression check

I got line of credit and plenty of room to grab more than $500 cash.
But since I know what I need to spend money on, and what bills etc I have in the near future and things I know need to get done to my current maxima, and **** that needs to be done around the house...
Unfortunately this time in my life $500 can be better spent elsewhere being I don't have the time and extra money to do extra curricular activities such as pimp the max out.
Had I seen this deal a few months ago, or maybe even a year down the road, the story could be different.
anyways.. I e-mailed them about it and they already sold it. I e-mailed them because half of me was going to buy it, the responsible half wasn't, but i was tryin to talk me into it lol
