Didn't think it was ghetto territory I was getting in to. An exhaust cutout needs an escape route. I would have preferred it was more stealth in appearance though. Yes it's an electric cutout.

I guess I should add, that the angle of the picture gives an appearance that it is sticking out beyond the body, but it's totally flush. That said, I may ask them to trim it back, because I don't really want to see the pipe. Originally I just wanted to cap the dump pipe section, but the shop who did the work argued that it was a hotbed that could burn my floor pan, plus create unwanted fumes in the cabin, so I said I'd go with their suggestion.

It's a consideration, but I have a feeling I'll either have it cut back slightly, or do away with the dump pipe entirely. I'll have it closed most of the time anyway. It's strictly for track days.

Yeah, that was the original plan, but they still argued for displacing the fumes. The place that did it is very much 'old mopar muscle' in their way of thinking, and to them this was the 'right way' of doing things. I'm sick as a **** right now, so I was like 'yeah sure ok - I'll cut it off if I don't like it'.

True. It wasn't intended as a beautification mod though, and I think it detracts from the slick appearance. Though it does add a nice little intimidation factor. Really though, I like what it does for the performance of the car - nothing more.
If it's just for drag use, you won't be worried about fumes in the car for those 17 seconds or less.
cut if off and put a turndown right at the valve.
I doubt you're going to see any power improvement with it anyway...

tease...
do it. now.
Idk who you wake, do it.

'zactly what I was thinking. turn it on during staging, then back off as you slow down, there will be virtually no time for fumes to become an issue.

i can hardly tell from the pic... but is it pre-cat or post-cat?
"i don't know who you wake"?

Don't be so hard on the beaver Matt. This pipe is just one part of the equation. It's not a cure all. I also have the ported upper and lower intake manifolds, and TB, ported spacers, the wideband o2, Nistune, my 4DSC decals...

The extension wasn't part of my original plan, but I thought I'd give it a try.
Video will be forthcoming as I still have to run the switch to the cabin, power it up and mount it somewhere, so the plate is in the closed position until then.
