Where is all the oil going.

Well seems like everytime I check the oil about every 1000 miles its damn near dry or 3qt low. Car does not seem to smoke or burn it. The oil does look a little runny when check it. Ive tried cheap oriellys oil valvoline even some good 20-50 and same result. The car is actually my gf 90 se VG Auto. Anyone got any ideas need to take care of this since she likes to forget to check oil and commutes 100 miles a day.

See any leaks on or around the underside of the engine?

This is besides the point but isn't 20-50 too thick for these cars

are you perhaps running rich and washing it down into and dilluting it/thinning it? do you have a wideband to check that with?

Would you say the oil looks milky? Could be mixing with coolant, someone else would have to tell you where that is likely to happen.

should of posted some more info. No visible leaks at all. I normally use 10-30 just gave the 20-50 a shot see if I can make a difference. I have a wideband I could use. She is still getting 24mpg avg so don't belive it is running rich.

Well, oil can only go 3 places, leak out through a seal, leak out through the headgasket(into the cooling system), or burning it..since you haven't noticed any leaks, or overheating, my best guess is you are burning it..
