I get a rattle from my speakers everytime i play bass-heavy songs, even though they are new infinity speakers and i have them screwed in very well, so i'd think if I'd allocate all bass emission to a sub then all will be fine. But I don't know where to start. only two wires coming out of the sub, should be simple enough, right? but i still don't know and I want to do it myself. Has anybody ever hooked up a sub to a stock amp?

You need a separate amp, search google for a general how to on how to install a subwoofer and amp. It's pretty easy.

What about a lower wattage sub? How would I install it? Or the stock amp doesn't support a sub period?

What kind of speakers can play bass heavy songs like boom boom pow?

doesn't support it period

a sub,

pretty much nothing off of the stock amps. I have 6x9's in the rear which play pretty good bass [for classic rock, not as great for rap at volume] but they are on an aftermarket amp. If you want it to sound good you need to do it right

You need an amp. Get a quality amp like JL Audio. Not sony, kenwood, garbage.
