MAF?? or other things?

MAF?? or other things?

ok heres another fix im in...my cars burning gas like crazy after i fill her up til she hits bout half a tank then from there til bout empty it seems a bit more normal of gas usage...could my MAF sensor be causing this problem or wut else could be any ideas wut to check?? car has had recent full tuneup, and im tired of having to put gas in the car like every 4 days lol

First of all the gas gauge isn't linear, so don't go by "halves" as indicators of gas usage.

Secondly, to be more accurate, how many miles are you getting per tank?

As far as I know, the MAF doesn't generally have any bearing on gas mileage. Did you replace the 02 sensor with your full tune up?

Like James92SE said, gas gauges aren't linear. Most cars burn fuel at the same approximate rate for the whole tank (unless you start doing some unusual acceleration, etc, half-way thru the tank). Maybe you could let us know a few details about what your tuneup included. Was mileage the same before the tuneup?

pull the codes out of the ECU first...

This. I noticed better fuel mileage after the meticulous and stressful task of replacing the knock sensor. (This is related since I had code 34.)
