what would happen if sombody put brake fluid in power steering fluid will do any damage

probably.... their properties are WAY different and the rubber seals may not be able to withstand brake fluid, ie, leaks n stuff.


lemme guess, you or a friend of yours did it to your (or their) car?

i remember once my pops put brake fluid in my 85 monte carlo power steerign resivoir and he noticed it ammediatly and flushed it but it still ruined the seals and he had to get a whole new resivoir and master cylinder...

well a drop aint gonna make any difference u should have posted before so we wouldnt have to yell to tell u to flush it immediately lol anyways glad to hear that ntn went wrong and u dont have to wonder anymore...

all the hoses that hold fluid in a brake system, steering system, coolant system etc. are all made to withstand different properties of fluid. therefore, when you switch them out, they have different properties and will eat away at a non reinforced type of hose

Moved to Phoenix and became a federal agent, not much time for the max...considering it's been in TN for the past year, and i work 50 - 70 hours a week.
