2 SCREWS ON TOP OF EACH FUEL INJECTOR?

I was wondering how in the world do you unscrew those 2 screws on top of each fuel injector from the fuel rail. Im asking because I saw a set in the junk yard with the rail and all, and since Im in the process of replacing 3 of my injectors I wanted to at least do a little pratice so I wont mess anything up on my car. the set at the junk yard was complete with the rail and contained all six injectors, SO I tried to unscrew one, but the screw seemed to strip, so I left it alone. Is it possible to replace 3 injectors on the same row without removing the entire rail assembly, and having to buy O rings for all 6 when just replaceing 3???

generally, when unscrewing screws, one would use a screwdriver

but i understand your question.... you probably need a bigger screwdriver. you probably were using a #2 screwdriver, but you really need a #3

an impact screwdriver with a #3 bit will be your best bet! Or an alternative would be to smack the screw head with a punch first then try to loosen it with a screwdriver!

Here is a word of advice, when doing fuel injectors replace all of THEM! Normally one goes bad then they all will. This way you won't have to buy more gaskets to do it a 2nd time. Now for inj removal spray screws with wd40 or liquid wrench and they should come free. if that doesn't work use a hacksaw to slot the head so a flat head will take it off.

getting them started with vicegrips also works pretty well

yea it seems ot me that those screws on the injectors are made from cheaper metal and really like to turn to mush so the impact screw driver/ vice grips has worked the best for me.

Place the screwdriver on the screw, tap on the top of screwdriver handle with a hammer while twisting slowly

I remember I posted this and Greeny suggested vice grips would be fruitful. His tactic worked and I used only vicegrips to completely remove every screw. Get them clamped nice and tight.
