check your tail light sockets for corrosion, if there is a little bit there, it's probably your problem.
double check your fuse, it's probably blown.

I did look at my fuses under the dash, but there may also be a fuse under the hood that I didnt check. I just didnt think it would be that because the lights were intermittent, and would pop on after some driving time. But now they are completely out.

are the headlights the only thing that stay on? try checking your TCU (Timing Control Unit) this is located to the right of the fuse box under dash. you have to take off the bottom half under your steering column and you will see the Anti-Theft box. behind that box is the TCU box. take out the circuit board and check for loose connections. that might be your problem right there.

TCU looked good...took the signal light switch out and cleaned contacts. Found the arm contacts not securely making contact... everything working so far and no problems just yet though. thanx for your help and inputs !

good job man. I have a question. I was looking at a thread where a 6th genner put led's wired to his park lights, but they were mounted on the front of the vehical. Which lights are the parking lights? The ones that come on when you turn your headlight stalk just one click?

yes, the park lights are the ones that come on before turning on your headlights.
