question about k&n recharger on generic intake filter.

Hey, i was wondering if anyone knew is it alright to use the k&n recharger (oil and cleaner) for a generic 3inch universal intake filter. Will it hold the oil? or will it suck into the engine?

i have done it on one of those not-k&n-name-brand cones, worked fine (sister-in-law's prelude).

Hell you can use dishwashing soap as a cleaner, it's just that a water based cleaner! I used my filter charge kit to clean several non-K&N filter with no harm done! As far as i'm concerned K&N is generic.....
