Left Rear window won't go up

Guess it finally happened to me. My drivers side rear window won't roll up. I don't know if its the motor or the regulator. When I press it, I hear the motor spin for 2 seconds and its stuck.

Something seems off track and stuck in there. Any other 3G's have similar problem care to share some possible solutions?

Thanks

Its more than likely the cable came off the spool (regulator). You can order another one from courtesy or one of these after market companies online. I have one but its for the passenger front.

You should see what actually happened. For me, the plastic piece that guides the top part of the cable broke off (which appears to be a common problem with these cars) and the wire jammed on the roll in the middle so I had to replace the whole regulator. But to be sure replace the whole regulator and get it over with.

And it happened on the rear driver side for me too.

motor AND regulator are like $50 shipped thru ebay. actually, that was the expensive one that came with a 3 year warranty. the cheapies are like $25-30. I'd do both.

Replace the regulator with new motor, that will be one less part to replace later.

There is no need to replace the motor if the motor is still good. I got my regulators from Oreilly. $41.99 and able to pick it up in the store without having to wait for shipping etc. Comes with a lifetime warranty.

When I bought my 94 max a guy at work said all my window regulators would break. He had a neighbor owned 2 maxima's and 7 of the 8 window regs had to be replaced.

Over the next 2 years all mine had to replaced! It doesn't matter how often the windows was used - the little plastic piece just gives out over time.
