best way to wire fogs?

Just installed a set of OEM fogs on my 91 GXE. What's the best to way to wire them?

Not sure yet if I want the stock wiring (thru the relay) since I'd like to be able to turn them on when the parking lights are on.

you could re-wire them to come on with the parking lights, as you want, but i would recommend the use of a relay, anyway. I thought there were a few posts on how to wire this up:/

My 94 Max is pre wired for fog lights. The wires are taped to the wires for the turn signals wires. Clip the ends and connect your new lights to these the red one is the + and the black one is the -. There is a place for a relay in fuse box under hood and the plug is behind panal where your cruise control switch is located. I got the switch and the relay from the Junkyard for free. I tried to connect to park light, fogs would burn for about a min. then blow tail light fuse.

You could always wire them to a separate switch all together, that way you have full control of when they are on and off.

If I do wire them to a separate switch, where is the power source coming from? I want to avoid connecting them directly to the battery. Also, I checked and my car is not pre-wired.

You could connect into your accessory line since you'll be most likely mounting your switch somewhere on the dash... incorporate a relay perhaps?

if you look in the FSM (EL section) you will be able to see where the power is tapped from on SE's that came with fogs. just find that wire and splice into it.

I Bought a set of aftermarket fog light/ driving lights from Wal-Mart for like $20. The look pretty much like the stock one's except they are rectangular, and fit the car perfectly. The only problem I am having now is the ends of the wires keep getting hot at the switch where i can turn them on and off, and they have left the wires with semi burnt ends. I guess I will have to get a new wire harness from pep boys.

And from the relay to the lights run larger gauge wire and you'll be fine
