Procarparts FSTB

I saw on the procarparts web site that their FSTB is supposed to fit the 92-94 SE with the VE engine. Has anyone had any luck fitting this over their VE? I'm debating on getting one, but I don't want to do any heavy mods to it and I'm not too sure about putting a bunch on washers under it to raise it up. Maybe I'm just getting my hope up.

How much is it? Heck, I've got some extra money, I might just get one and test it out....

Here's the direct link: http://www.procarparts.com/store/dis...m?pid=SB-maxfr

Only $42.99!

I just wish I'd seen this earlier I'd elaborate, but I'll just do that later....

Hmmm....the end brackets are their selling point for the 92-94 SE (which has nothing to do with the fit on the VE). That bar looks exactly like the OBX I already have. I doubt it'll fit, I'll give it a shot anyway though. If it's a no-go, I'll just sell it for cheap.

Well if the end brackets push the bar up higher, it might clear the intake manifold better than the courtesy or other bars....

yes/no?

Yeah, I think so. Probably why James thought that (and I was wondering about that too), is because they said the other model had a O-shaped end bracket. But yeah I think you're right.... in fact, isn't it James who cut his OBX brackets and weld on ones with a higher angle?

Yeah, I dont see how the different shaped brakets make a difference. The actual shape of the brackets has nothing to do with raising the bar up over the engine, so I dont see why they say it'll fit the VE. The O-brackets, and C-brackets, are in fact the same design, just one is an O and one is a C. There's no difference in the height there. And yep, that was me that made the custom OBX bar. And that bar that they're selling looks EXACTLY like my OBX bar.

Uh oh, James.... Sounds like a copyright infringement thing! Sue 'em for 2.5 mil, then design your OWN!! Then give ME one for suggesting that brilliant idea!!

Either that, or just clunk me over the head with the bar you buy and call it a day!
