Warpspeed Y pipe for VG

i have a couple of questions about the warpspeed y pipe, i could probably get the answers from their ebay listings, but i wanted to read it directly from those who are currently using it. Your input would be appreciated. Was recently considering picking it up.

questions:
what are the pros? cons? (if any) of the y pipe.
is it legal is CA?
With the Y pipe on, would i pass a smog check?
Could i get it cheaper than 200? if so where?
With it on would it be louder than the stock pipes?

thats all i could think of right now, if i have any more questions ill add on to it haha. You can also tell me your experience with the pipe, how great it is compared to the stock or if theres anything you didnt like about the WSP, any input would be great. Thanks.

i have one for sale. might be hard to find a box that shape tho. but if i can find a box then we'll talk.
louder? no. just make sure you don't get rid of your resonator so it still sounds good.

i got a 300zx, so i'm parting the maxima(s).

the max is no longer safe to drive due to suspension issues ($200+), and it also has fluid leaks ($??), wrong size injectors causing horrible mileage ($700), and needs a new windshield ($??) so rather than spending $1000+ on car i don't drive, i would rather make money from the good-condition parts that it has.

the gaskets are just those metal ring thingies... one-time use, tho you CAN tap then back out to reuse them like we did if you want to. i think we can do that tho. once i get it off the car i'll see what sort of shipping arrangements i have to work with.

Do not reuse the crush rings... buy new ones... like Caped already said they are one time use and they are approximately $5 each...

no, 2 ring type, then 1 traditional flange gasket where it attaches to the catconv. the catconv gasket is new well, put in in March, but as with most gaskets they are one-time use.

Bring pipe to an exhaust shop or a local parts suppler to mach the crush rings that goto the pipe from manifold. As for the pipe to cat... i used Nissan OEM METAL gasket on mine. I think it`s the same one used for B15 sentra

YES IT IS SMOG LEGAL IN CA. it does NOT effect emissions. As far as exhaust tone.. it does change it slightly. I noticed mine did. Pros: i noticed smoother RPM from idle to 6000 and noticed a MPG gain. Bout 2-3 MPG. CONS:..NONE ......

Are you parting the car fully or just mods? No rush on the tranny case but if you are fully parting the car I DO desperately need a 5 speed axle carrier bracket

well i didn't get to pull it but i moved the car into a position to pull it. hopefully i can pull it tomorrow. i spent some time getting other stuff off the car for other ppl but of course moving the car around the yard and letting it run to recharge the battery meant that it was too hot to touch before i lost daylight. so all i gotta do tomorrow is roll the car up on ramps and remove the pipe.
