you will have plenty of room with 17" rims and 45 series tires with the eibach pro kit. i used to haev that combo. there is still a lot of fender gap, so i switched to intrax which drops it another half inch, and there is still enough room.

As long as the tire/wheel combo you have now fits on the car without rubbing, they'll fit the same with the Eibachs. This assumes the tire you have now isn't a whole lot taller than the stock tire, which is what matters. Theoretically you should be able to drive around with NO springs and they won't rub - otherwise your tire/wheel combo is probably wrong.

Theoretically, if you took out the springs the car would be resting on the top of the tire, Theoretically

What up Buck? I have a question for you. Did you notice a drop in performance/handling when you switched from Eibach to Intrax?

yeah, it's a little more bouncy and you can feel the bumps more. but that's expected with a lower drop and considering that eibachs are one of the best handling springs on the market. there's also a wierd noise when i have my foot on the gas and make right turns, but that's something else that i can't figure out.

Errr waitaminute... I always thought that's what the bump stops were for (aren't ours part of the strut?). Otherwise every time you bottom out the suspension on a big bump you'd be hearing this horrible scraping noise.

Kind of. The bumpstops being a soft hollow rubber couldn't support the 2800 or so pounds of the car resting on them. They would flatten out.
