cuz the stillen one actually has a velocity stack whereas most cone filters just bolt onto a plain pipe. stock airbox has a sort of brass-colored velocity stack in it.

what does it come with? just the adapter piece and filter, or is there an actual intake tube too?

I'm pretty certain the Stillen Pop-Charger doesn't come with a new intake tube. It's literally just the filter and the "velocity stack" and I believe a bracket to steady the filter against the strut tower. Pretty big waste of money IMO. Add the JWT popcharger in the same category for that matter..

That's what my kit came with. Filter, stack and bracket I had that setup for about a year. I found that it worked good until the engine bay got hot from the engine and heat soak set in then the filter was useless. Buy a CIA, got my from warpspeed and it works great no more heater soak.

You can do this same thing for a lower price than a Stillen or JWT popcharger and has a better bellmouth design....and will allow more distance from the MAF...Check out BPI racing.com, AEM universal cone filters, one MAF adapter!
