turbo project underway. . .

well after lots of critcism from some of the shop guys, the turbo project is underway. A BIG thanks to Czar for all the advice. i have started to collect the parts necessary for this project. i have some, and some i'm going to be looking for. anyway, if anyone can help, has any hookups, etc, please help me out. this is what i have and what i need. some i just have to purchase, but i thought i'd see if anyone else had any hookups.

have:
Greddy FMU
Extra manifolds
extra coils

need to buy:
Fuel pressure regulator
Larger fuel pump
Turbo from Z31 or off early merkur (same turbo)
ACT clutch
unorthodox lightened flywheel
Sway bars
shocks

need specs for:
Fuel pump
injectors
compression for TTZ pistons

The car motor is getting pulled as soon as i'm done with finals next semester. It looks like i'm gonna be rolling around in an 86 prelude cause the accord i normally drive is getting a turbo as well (one of the saab ones the shop bought). any help would be appreciated. the guys at teh shop know what they're doing, but i thought i'd just check in with you guys as well. Our goal is to have all the shop cars boosted. so far phil, john, and matt are the only boosted people, but the hybrid sol, the hybrid accord, my max, and george's Sentra (XE with SE-R swap) will be boosted as well. I took over my college fund . . .well i will on teh 11th and i thought i'd use some of it to get this project going. if this turns out successful the shop will probably begin doing custom turbos for maximas. anyway, if you need to talk to the shop it's in butler PA. 412-586-chet (it's called chet's vettes right now) anyway, any help would be appreciated. thanks guys. P.s. ask for jason. if it's about turbo work please wait to call. we will be able to answer questions once the project is done. But if you are interested in a swap, lowering springs installation, shock installation, those sort of things, give him a buzz.

That would be a very fatal mistake. If anything you need a higher flowing fuel pump period! Also IMHO getting a JWT ECU would be easier than tuning a FMU to your setup. For the fuel pump just get a Z32TT's or a walbro 255LPH. While your at it get some bigger fuel injectors. You can use either 370cc Z32tt injectors or some 50lb injectors (these require custom fuel rails) and get the ECU reprogrammed for them.

as nismo said.. at least get a Z32 TT fuel pump and bigger injectors, then go from there.

SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN..!

DUDE! I am psyched for you. Especially 'cause your in PA. I attend Lehigh University, graduate in a few weeks with my BS in MEchanical Engineering. I got a few jobs offers that will allow me to dig into my '89 SE. I have already planned on going turbo, but it's good to know that there's a crew nearby. We can help eachother out. I also have a friend with a G20 who has a SR20DET JDM swap planned as well as an 86 CRX Si soon to be project. This will likely go turbo too. Once things start rolling we can hook up and get some serious representation going. BY the way, is your max a VE or VG. Also, don't forget to check Z-car.com and others for turbo parts and specs. Good luck and keep us updated.
