Spoiler Brake light Q's

Hey sorry if this was answered already, I did a search and didn't find quite what I was looking for.

I have a 92 SE.

The left half of my stock spoiler brake light is out. When i get home I'll probably take it apart, but for now, does anyone know what's going on? Are there two light bulbs in there and one burnt out, or is it a wiring problem? Will this be difficult to correct?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

When I removed my spoiler I had to wire up a new high mount brake light. Pull the gey liner from inside the trunk lid surface, and follow the wire to the driver's side trunk hinge. The wires are wrapped in tape. They are black and light blue if I recall. Visually inspect, then have a friend hold the brake down and use a test light or multimeter to check for power in one, and continuity to a ground in the other. Those wires are wrapped pretty securely, so I would be inclined to think the broblem is at or near the spoiler. If you put fresh bulbs in do they blow out immediately when the brake is applied? Or do they just not work. That way you at least know if you are looking for a short or a break in the wires.
