5-spd tranny issue

hey ORG fam..need some help! My manual tranny is going..1st gear is starting to pop out and my bearings are starting to sing a tune. Now take in mind that I've this max since new(1990 new). Rebuilt the tranny back in '99 cause of the same issue( shift forks..complete rebuild) Now after 150,000 miles later with a total of 286,000 on the dial, I think I've got my moneys worth. Question is seeing that I'm crunched with work (plus kids) I have no time to rebuild again..but trying to find a 5-spd RS5F50A is finding to be a tuff task...Can My fellow ORG members see if they have or know of a low mileage tranny around? or a rebuild kit for that tranny for a good price.

Where are you located?
She looks very clean and well manicured. I like the color along with the lip. I am iffy about wheels, but I can never make up my mind except for the stock ones, which I think are beautiful.

anyways OP... you can look in a pick-and-pull type junkyard to find a tranny. You could just get one to use for a while and have your original rebuilt again, if the time it takes to get it rebuilt (car downtime) is your primary concern.

It would be good if you mentioned where you are before asking questions like that...

As for finding a tranny, go to http://www.car-part.com and start searching. You should find one pretty quick.

^ or the opposite: buy one to rebuild, and swap afterwords (but if it's popping out of gear )
