I think the best way I can say it is that some Hondas (Civics, crx, h/b) are not "conventional" sports cars in the ways that most people normally consider a sports car to be. That is not to say they aren't or can't be. I mean, there are obvious sports cars like the 300zx, rx7, supra, skyline, etc. Though, there are cars like the civic, crx, and many other compacts that can be consider sports cars but don't really quite look the part.

This guy has the right idea. Volkswagon has some fast cars out there, such as the Scirocco and Corrado. The 1986 Volkswagon Scirocco 16v acually beat the Porsche 944 in 0-60 times. Don't believe me, ask Car and Driver. The Scirocco is a 1.6liter n/a 4 cyl. I am not sure if the comparison was done on a turbo 944 or n/a. Then along comes the Corrado quite heavier than the Scirocco but more powerful than the Scirocco. It was the first American VW to get the G60 Supercharger and it tore up the road. This car was also a 4cyl. until 1992 when it was one of the first VW's to get the VR6, an outstanding engine that is still influencing Volkswagon with their upcoming VR8, W12, VR16, W18 and many more engines. Anyways, Honda's dont suck they just have been exploited by the wrong people. Think about it, if someone was to take a Maxima and give it a super rear wing and that "typical" sound of a "Rice Rocket" you would probably start to hate it. Now do that to about 80% of all the Maxima's out there and see if anybody would still like that car.
