Can someone tell me what the purpose of this part is

I noticed i have a leak around one of the bends on this part # 30650+A.

According to Nissan it is no longer available. Question is what is its purpose and can i just cap off both ends seeing as how it comes out of and goes back into same block? Or do i have to make another line and if that is the case does it need to be nearly as long?

When i press the clutch it goes right to the floor and does not come back up and i can see the fluid pissing right around one of the bends that has a pin hole leak in it.

supposedly, it's some sort of coolant-type pipe, or something.
alot of people who do 5-speed swaps bypass it.

coolant? really? are you smoking crack again?

it's a damper to make the clutch "feel" better, or so they say. maybe to reduce vibration coming back through the pedal or something. you can just attach the rubber clutch hose directly to the hardline coming form the master cylinder if you want. makes it easier to bleed as well.

hell, I never did care what it did, I just know I never have had clutch problems, so I didn't bother noting what it's purpose is (I know now)
regardless, it can be safely bypassed.

i threw it in there when i did my 5speed swap. i did have altercations with my clutch a few times here and there but it was just the damn slave cylinder. i have thought about bypassing it but got lazy and forgot about it. maybe when i move back i'll take care of it.

How can i properly bypass this?

Is it by capping the two outlet ports?
Making a short jumper line to go from one outlet to other?
Remove block all together?

use a flare nut wrench and just unhook the input line (coming from the clutch master cylinder) and the rubber line from the output line. then just attach the rubber line directly to the input line after removing the whole block thingy.

edit: connect A to B

You could just go to the junkyard and pull a used one. There's a couple locally, I could get one for you. PM if you want

I've always called it a hydraulic distribution block... which iMO broke the system down into smaller subassemblies and easier/cheaper too replace during maintenance!
