Hey guys, question for the vets, so i start my car and my guages all dont work, battery light is stuck on dimly, and than notice my rear defrost and power sunroof have stopped working as well, now the 194's in the back of the cluster all light up fine. any ideas?? relay maybe? the wiring schematic didnt show any one thing that tied all 3 of these problems in. i checked all my fuses, no problems there.

sounds like your alternator is on its way out.

 

nope i checked it right away, its good, the batt light only stayed on when the cluster died

 

you sure the alternator is fine? battery is fine too i'm guessing? those are pretty much classic alternator crapping out signs. maybe you have a power draw somewhere thats taking all the battery power?

 

ya well i checked both more than once, mainly because i didnt want to get stranded and they both tested good, plus i run a big stereo system and **** with the car off sometimes, never had a problem starting it after or at any time for that matter, the car starts strong still, its jus when the cluster crapped out, for some reason the batt light got stuck on, i guess i should just test voltage and ground at all the relays, i dont know what else to do, unless maybe the sunroof and rear defrost are inline with the cluster and the cluster died? ..

anyone know which relays would control the sunroof, cluster or rear defrost?
