New AFPR Installed!!!!!

Installed New AFPR and vehicle idles great.....Was able to play with the fuel pressure to all levels of adjustment and idle was stable as an aircraft carrier.....Set pressure to 40 Psi will run a wideband at WOT next but after break-in is complete!

When are you going to order Nistune instead of tuning like a caveman (FPR adjustments)?

I didn't Know cavemen had cars.......LOL!!!!!
Or better yet.... why don't you tune it like a caveman when you get your Nistune!
I'll trust my JWT's ecu tuning(60 yrs experience combined) to have better driveability/performance out of the box before you will in 365 days..... with your Nistune!!!! I'll idle better, have better driveability with no farts or hickups like so many self tuned cars that were performed by inexperienced, entry level wanna bees, with no real clue about ECU technology and logics....I'll guarantee 96% of Nistune owners to never fully tune the car completely themselves.....They had to pay someone who has no where close (knowledge wise) to JWT nor Bob Norwood tuning experience, you just don't wake up one morning, knowing how to do this $Hit...... LOL!!!!
I'm merely fine tuning my AFR to the sweet spot with my AFPR and I'm also making simple ignition adjustments.... basically all that's needing to optimize my already potent VG30E.....The cams really come to life at 2300 rpm on up.....just looking at my ride and hearing it idle so calmly most wouldn't know it has that kind of potential.....LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad you got it working

FWIW, when I first installed my afpr, I lowered my fuel pressure to lean it out a bit thinking out might noticeably increase hp. I played with it quite a bit and I never felt any noticeable increase in power. After I installed my wideband o2 sensor I realized that my VE30 doesn't run as rich as people have claimed theres to run. IIRC, the afr is 12.5:1-12.8:1 at wot in 3rd gear with stock fuel pressure and stock ecu. Mind you, I'm referring to my VE and you have a VG.

You should do a little more research about nistune and engine tuning.

I tuned my own car using e-Manage Ultimate, rev limiter, AFR, IGN...

And it idles and cruises like stock with no hiccups.

Caveman, riiiiiight.

Out of curiousity....What ignition mod are you using? A capacitive spark increasing gadget? Your E-manage still use the Oem ECU but enables you to make tuning changes to parameters....is that correct?
As for your fuel system it's the last of the return style! How much WHP/WTQ are you putting down? What's your new tuned redline? MoncefA33 don't get me get wrong....there are many ways to make the power and somewhat maintain/enhance factory driveability....For me personally and all the research I performed the JWT was the ECU that was appealing to me and my used combinations....Right now the streetability is awesomely crisp and pulls like crazy and I've yet to stump it to WOT yet nor install my JWT Ecu!!!!!! This is gonna be a really fun car to drive....

e-Manage lets me control ignition timing.

Yes. Piggybacks ECU's signals and adjusts them to my heart's desire.

Don't know, but people with less aggressive tunes than mine are making 220-230whp. Tuned to 7,200. I don't need an AFPR, I can control injector openings to 1/100th of a millisecond.

There are no flashed/modded ECU's available for 00-01.

IMO if you're running a mild/medium N/A build stock ECU maps are just fine in closed-loop. Typically a car with bolt-ons and a mild cam profile will only need tuning in open loop. So no matter what you use if you're just I/H/E, you shouldn't have drive ability issues.

True that! Sounds great! Yeah I got the AFPR to do just that...fine tune it in open loop(WOT) to the sweet spot 12.5-12.8 afr... nothing more, nothing less....What kinda 1/4 mi times are you running?
My redline is 7000 rpm with the JWT ecu...I'm hoping for the high 14's (at least)once it's broken in.... with a little bit of chassis and engine tuning, low-mid 14's with a VG30E and I'm happy!

Sounds like an awesome setup....Have you ever dyno'd your set-up? If you're making 240 whp that's about 50 whp over the stock whp. I hope I can put down 185-200 whp with my VG30E, I would really be happy and pleased with all the planning and execution of this project......
