Isn't 50 watt what the stock ones run? I thought melting was only a concern with 80-100... I know nothing has melted with my setup so far..

that's cause both filaments come on inside the bulb. you should go to craig b's site and check out the rewire to make it that bright all the time. it's simple, just basically splice the wires to connect both + wires. just make sure you do the right one, or they will both always be on when you have the signal on, and not at all if not. just go to his page. i did this mod about 3 weeks ago. looks a lot better now.

he's talking about the CORNER bulb (if i'm not mistaken). that usually runs 27w 1156 bulb. if he got a 50w bulb in there..it's going to get nice and hot.
the 80-100 watt i think you're referring to 9004 headlights which some go up to 80-100 watt to melt down your wiring and harness.

if you use the light from your front bumper turn signals, they're bright all the time. . . . no rewire necessary!

Yeah, well thanks for the warning.. I figured the corners would have the same capacity for voltage.. pretty sure my corner bulbs are 50 watt too, gonna have to look into that.. I think I got my corners at a Euro shop, can't even remember now though so it'll be hard to check..

the corner light is 1157, the front and rear turn signal is 1156. actually the front signals are supposed to be 1156a, cause those are yellow, but i have white . that may actually be backwards, but the point is the corner ones have 2 filaments, the signals have one. the corners have 2 so that when you turn your signal on, it gets brighter. i don't think the one filament bulb for the signal would actually be as bright as the corner one, but i'm not sure.
