hey man it is pretty cool. It makes your side markers brighter and when you turn on all your lights if you have fogs you can make then all turn on at the same time. Craig B is the dude behind this mod he has a lot of other fun things to do to to the max. I have never met him but he does live near me in Atlanta. Just do a search for the rewiring of clear corners and you will find stuff about it and his web page.

I think it makes it so your corners stay bright like they are when you put on your turn signal.. instead of being dim until you turn on the signal. Here is craig's website with the how thttp://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gte671n/mymax.htmlo on the mod:

yeah but when you make em bright all the time, don't you lose your turn signal light? you know, the one that goes on on the side.

if you don't have to physically rewire anything then i would assume you're prob sanding off one **** of the bulb and jamming it in there. will it work? sure..is it safe? no.

proper way to rewire is to physically rewire it using the proper methods.

there is a single fillament bulb that fits. the same one that's in your front turn signal. it's bright all the time. but you don't have your turn light. no mods at all required. just buy the bulb and put it in.

1156 single filament (single contact on the base)
1157 double filament (double contact on the base)

the corner lense is 1157
the bumper lense is 1156

how can u run a 1156 in the corner lense when it's made for a 1157?

the tabs are offset in a 1157 (so u don't run it the wrong way)
the tabs are same distance on the bulb on 1156 (doesn't matter which way it goes.

now what's this bulb that u speak of?? please enlighten me

dan, i've had no problems so far with just putting in the bulb backwards. i did not need to sand the **** off the bulb.

ok so you basically jammed the bulb in there.
ok well that's not the "right" way to do it..but it's your car. do what you want.

you don't have to wait for your clears. it does the exact same thing with the marker being orange or yellow or whatever...

when you turn your signal on with the rewire, it doesn't get any brighter, but it is already as bright as it normally is with the signal on.

You wouldn't lose your turn signal either.. the brightness with the turn signal is just one of the things that lets people know you're turning.. there are also turn signals independent of the corners..

the corner also gets brighter so you can see what you're about to turn into...

Related Question…

Guys,

I've installed my clear corners and I like the way they look (even though they're newer than the headlamps, they look much better on my car than the stock ones did). Anyway, as I was doing the install, I accidentaly pulled out the wires for the turning signal bulb on the driver's side. I decided to go with white bulbs instead of the yellow ones, but my driver's side blinker doesn't work. Any suggestions?
