i suggest get new rims, a set that will at least make the car look nicer. i think those were a bad choice to put on your car. get some newer nissan or infiniti wheels and be done with it, but not steelies. pardon me but who the hell lied to you that those wheels look nice?

most of us still think you should ditch those scrap metal of wheels that you got and get better looking wheels.

I like the look of the wheels; I hate the offset. you can get a full set, with proper offset for ~$200. brand new. not much for a cool looking style.
the problems those wheels will (and have) created will be much more expensive.
and 185 will look

the offset might be zero but the rim is only 7 inches wide. i think it fits really good. it stick out just enough to make it look good. its not super ghetto mexican looking. even tho other people might think otherwise. lol\

ohh and about puttin 185s on the car.. im still on the fence about that. its rele hard to picture what size of tires would look good on there.

Is it so bright that you must leave your sun reflector on in your garage?

I still don't think they look too bad; you need to get those fenders properly rolled, get some eibachs on there, I think you'd be good in the looks dept.

also, it looked like those rear tires are eaten up inside. plz, plz tell me i was seeing something that wasn't.

They would help fatten up that fender and make the wheels look like they fit better imo

That is exactly what I was thinking when I said that. imo, it would make the wheels look less like they stick out.

and, imo, they look better than without. idk, im probably biased.
i also think it makes a lowered maxima look better. lol

With those bigass jeep tires on that thing, you need mudflaps to continue with the image.

but not the OEM mudflaps. get you some with Yosemite Sam on 'em from the truck stop.

basically exposed wires. i asked a family friend who has worked on cars for literally 70+ years (and yes, he built his own Model T from scrap parts back in the day ) and he said its fine, just start it right away after so that the water evaporates before it really soaks in. then, i saw Jassics thread where he sprayed down his 2nd gens bay and some stuff got screwed up and he had a nasty idle that wouldnt go away and other stuff so im not willing to spray mine now

you would need some degreaser still, i tried with just a rag and hot water and most hoses came clean, but the actual engine cover would barely clean up.

ayy i was tired last night what i meant is i tried wiping down the engine and the only thing that came clean was where it says V6 3000

for cheap rims, check the junkyard, you can get some good stuff for cheap. i almost got some Momo rims from a 3rd gen there that are pricey, had locked lugs on it and i couldnt breaker bar them off. lots of others tried, then some Dbag got them off one lug was rusted and stripped so i dont know how the hell he did it, my ratchet almost got stuck on a lug as well until i Sparta kicked it off

hose the damn thing down. I power wash mine all the time. just don't spray the distributor cap directly or your air filter if you have en exposed cone filter. I usually cover mine with one of those stray plastic shopping bags that always wind up in the trunk.

Ok Hatman....those on here who know me know that I am not above admitting when Ive been a douche...I was a bit harsh with you and I offer my apologies. I do not personally care for those rims and I think they are very unsafe with the rubbing and cutting grooves in the sidewalls and the tire wear but this is your car and I am a firm believer that you should do as you wish with your car so, congrats on doing what you want and sticking to it. I hate that you cut perfectly good rust free fenders but like others say, its because we here in the upper north WISH for rust free cars and to see one butchered that is in good shape is like kicking a baby in the face for us...why woudl you do it? But again, your car, your decisions.

Good luck with the car man.

You blow dry it because if you start it wet you risk shorting something out.

you have never driven in the rain, have you? I have driven through puddles that throw 15 foot rooster tails outside of the car; you think it's much better inside the engine bay(esp. those that have removed the plastic shields)?

keep the air filter dry-ish, it'll be kosher.

better safe then sorry - I know they're built mostly waterproofed, but my max is 18 years old now, all that rubber isn't what it used to be.
