Affordable Injectors?

I am guessing I have a bad injector. After the engine warms up. I get a dead miss. I believe cylinder number 5, back of engine, closest to driver's side? Anyways if I disconnect that sparkplug boot, no change in miss, have spark. I pulled the injector connection and with a test light, I have a steady hot with a pulsating ground. So I am guessing a dead injector or one that is getting weak with heat.

Anyone know a source for cheap but decently reliable injectors?

PS I am a pro at taking the intake off and on.

I have had to take it off for:
1. replace fuel lines
2. replace fuel lines again (advance sold me low pressure fuel line)
3. replace fuel injector pigtails

from what I have read our injectors are not rebuildable. So any that say they are, are just cleaned. Is this right?

Also internetautomart prices seem to be the same as everywhere else. I am looking at RockAuto.

BECK/ARNLEY Part # 1580654 $89.79

Bosch is the way to go.

If you need to be on the cheap go to the junkyard.

yep. and that does nothing to prevent the wire from corroding, which is what causes them to ohm out of spec. possibly due to the presence of 10% ethanol in gas nowadays that the wire wasn't coated to resist? who knows.. but it's pretty well documented that the wire coil deteriorates.

Yeah mine seems to fail mostly when the engine is hot. I think a reman would be better than a junkyard one. At least it would be clean and have some sort of warranty. I just OHM'd it not too long ago too.

On the VE, there's actually a ton of Nissan's that have the same injectors, so I always grab what I can

All 4th gens, J30s, 97-01 Q45's, 91-99 Sentras, 93-97 Altimas, 91-97 240s, etc.

again, I still think getting reman one that has been cleaned and has a warranty for $38.00 would be better than trying the JY right?

what kind of warranty 30 days? 90? does the warranty include the cost of new gaskets when you disassemble everything?
you can ohm-test an injector before pulling at a junk yard... that seems to be a pretty good warrany, imo.
and flow is usually not the problem, as said before.
and again, there is no such thing as a "reman" vg injector.

Tell me, does your car start to shake/vibrate badly at all when it starts missing? Reason I ask is my symptoms are similar. So I'm glad you made this thread before I did. Now I know exactly what I have to do even though I dread going back in there but I know what it is now.
