Need help! **URGENT**

So i ordered new clips and bolts for my spoiler since there was only one mount holding everything together..so I proceeded to install new ones and discard the old ones and have run into a big problem..I'll let the pictures speak for themselves (uploading now, should edit post within next couple mins)

I REALLY NEED SUGGESTIONS ASAP on what to do! and if all else fails..i'm gonna aim for some really aggressive adhesive just for a couple days while I get together some materials

honestly mang, i would either try to find a junkyard replacement spoiler in better condition(good luck with that ), or just find a non-spoiler(GXE) black trunk..

yeah..I was afraid someone would say that. Alright, well I guess i'll be on the prowl and for the meantime i'll use a really strong adhesive and won't drive on the highway for a little while.

Thanks

Just keep it off and tape over the holes (ghetto I know but it will keep the water out) until a replacement can be found.

Just leave the spoiler off. Put tape over the holes as others have said.

Electrical tape works well as far as not messing up your paint. Plus, with the black paint, the electrical tape blends very well, and you can't even hardly tell unless you're right up on it.

I rolled for a year or two with electrical tape over the holes on my old black VE

What should I do without the third brake light?
I mean in Ohio it's only required to run a minimum of 2 tail lights but, If i'm correctly understanding this, if it came from the factory with 3 lights then it's illegal to remove it..

duct tape teh spoiler on. they have black duck tape (in nascar, they called it 200mph tape)

srsly, though. pull it off, throw it in the trunk.
if you get pulled over, open the trunk, and point.
"it's still in the car, officer, it's just broke."
(and then seriously, explain it just broke, and you haven't had time/money to fix)

I'd highly doubt you'd get pulled over or given any crap about it whatsoever, or that law enforcement would even notice.

It's not like a cop is going to see you, think to himself, "hey, that's a 3rd gen Maxima SE. The GXE's had a third brake light on the decklid, and SE's had them on the spoiler. I notice this SE has the spoiler removed, and thus, no 3rd brake light. I'll pull him over!"

We have the same law here in Texas about if it came with a 3rd brake light, it has to stay. There's been at least 3-4 years I passed inspection just fine without it, and the inspectors didn't even notice/realize it *should* have had a 3rd brake light.

Really, I'd highly doubt it'd get noticed at ALL by law enforcement

Will do. Hopefully the cop (if I have to encounter this before getting a fix) is understanding of the situation..

as long as u have ur tail brake lights working good,u wont encounter any problems with the cops..and if i want ur third brake light on,why dont u take it off the spoiler and run the wires on the back windshield..leave it there on the rear deck untill u fix ur spoiler isue. Now if u wanna fix ur old spoiler,Contact adhesive or contact cement would do just fine.get it at any upholstery shop,or walmart.aply it on both surfaces, wait 2-5 minutes(depending on weather)and join them together.u can wash ur car with a pressure washer in a few hrs..but that thing wont come off

i never had problems using it..it also depends how u use it.how much u put and drying time before u join them..he said he doesnt need an agresive adhesive...he can always go for some coldweld from autozone.or polyurethane tube frm homedepot the only prorblem with that is holding it together till it dries..on that option he can put a some double sided tape on few spots and do the rest with poly or coldweld and join them.like that,th tape will hold it together until the glue dries..well whatever he decides good luck to him.just tryna help here

I'm trying to think of the most feasible way to route the wires into the rear windshield and nothing really looked simple unless i'm just looking at it wrong lol.

The good thing about the black 3rd gen is you can spray just rattle can black and it matches just perfectly.

Same with the red 3rd gen too!

Seriously, both Duplicolor generic black and Krylon gloss black indoor/outdoor match perfectly. I've got tons of patches on my black VE's over the years with these two paints

I'm even gonna repaint my bumpers with rattle can black here in the next few weeks. And I guarantee it'll look fantastic

Cut me some slack, that was 10+ years ago. I even had the "Euro wiper conversion", heated coils, and an Aerospeed (are they even still around?) fart pipe
