Thanks for all the fish.

Alas, I must depart. Just sold the maxima today and I recently purchased a Impreza 2.5RS. I loved the max while I had it, It was costing too much to maintain / drive. I might still be around because this community is awesome. Below are some pix of the new ride. Thanks for all the info as it really helped throughout the years of maintaining my car.

Sorry, I've ridden in a couple Impreza 2.5s and I dont care much for them. My buddy had a 2005 M/T and he just traded for 2009 A/T. Both 05 & 09 handled well but felt as fast as corollas. Careful with that head gasket and you have a decently reliable car

edit: I like the car across the street better

Indeed, I sourced a real cheap one for my buddy and we drove to Cleveland to pick it up... best $1,000 ever + $90 for my gas + $45 for his gas. And I'm talking about a 2000 SE 5spd not a VQ30DE-K itself

you'll be wishin for the max again when your head gaskets go out. My good friend LOVEs rs's.. So now im quite experienced with 2.5s head gaskets. Is that a dual cam or single cam engine.

98 was the only DOHC. thank ****ing god.

New Cometic triple layer Headgaskets supposedly resolve the problem. But theres always the thought of upgrading to a WRX or STi engine for a bit more fun :P

Also. ALL IS NOT LOST. 2.5RS's power mirrors and locks were made by nissan.
