VE PS Pump

I have a slight leak coming from the pump not the hoses, so I've decided to swap it out along with the hoses because I don't want to go there again. What do you suggest...JY, rebuild, generic? I just intstalled new LCA's and I don't need no PS juice all over the bushing. Changing the pump seem real easy on the VE am I wrong?

I got me a new one from Orielly's. Can't remember how much but it wasn't that expensive. Its not that hard to change, but it will help a lot if you remove the passenger side axle for hand clearance. Your gonna spend most of your time under the car and in the passenger side fender well. GL

separating that passenger side support bearing case will help him a lot...

I never had to remove axle while replacing PS on my VE. I disconnected both hoses while it was on the car then wiggled it out. Compare to that b!tch bearing case it was NOTHING

I've always found a short/stubby 5/16 wrench is perfect to get up in there from the bottom and loosen that bolt for the high pressure hose. Everything else is pretty much cheese! If you take your time and have a couple cold ones while you do the job, you should be done in about 1.5 hours. Shouldn't need to remove anything else but the passenger wheel and engine assembly/axle plastic splash guard. Have fun!

I bought a new/reman pump for my blue VE since everything else in it was new. That was about a year ago and it was about $200ish

I just bought another new/reman pump for my black VE for $46

Good for you; just don't send others to the bigger mess than they're already in.
