Leather seats for my (almost) Base GXE

How much can I get some fresh leather seats for my GXE? I've seen the light colored leather seats and I like them

Quick question, are the low beams on these projectors, or are they on the halogen side?

Leather seats from any 3rd gen 89-94 will bolt right in. I think most of them are wired for power seats, too. You might check to see if there is a plug under your seat (maybe even under the carpeting).

Start calling around to boneyards or check craigslist. Not many people parting these out anymore unless it's someone on this site, though.

They've got a good (non all cracked/ripped from 20 years of sun damage) rear seatback? In Texas? I didn't think any existed

Chrome.. yeah.. most rear seats I see here get mutilated too. I think people can't figure out how to get them out.. and they want to get at the fuel pump so they just bend the seat all up since they don't know/can't get the seat back popped off on those three spots along the top

Well, he meant most of the cars themselves are wired for power seats. As in, if your car does NOT have power seats, there is likely still the plug under the seat for them. So, if/when you DO get power seats, they'll plug right in

All of my non-power seat 3rd gens have had the plug under the seat

most 3rd gens here have power seats, like 95%+ of them. it took forever to find a set of non-power seat brackets to use with my Sparcos

If your car is wired for power seats, there will be two connectors underneath the driver seat and one under the passenger. When I had my carpet out on my 91, I checked to make sure the power seat connectors weren't hiding from me. They simply aren't there. But, power seats were not available on the SE from 89-91, it was a GXE only thing. I had a 94 VE with power seats though, so maybe it was an option on the SE after 92. If that's the case, then the connectors are probably there on all 92-94's.

that sounds great!! Ive seen some really clean leather interior maximas in the junkyards around here, and never really thought about the seats, even though I think that the power seats give you better options to move the seat vs the non power seats.

but it takes 3-4 times longer to get the seat all the way forward and all the way back minus the headrest to get the front and backseats to connect...plus takes a toll on the battery.

Dude, that's NOT how you profit off of a 3rd gen. Nothing against your car, but you spent more on those seats than what the car would be sold for with the used seats included.

just the thought of the luxury feeling of the gxe. Most gxe's Ive test driven before I bought mine had leather seats, and they were power seats. the cloth seats are ok But I may just get 2 front seats and put seat covers on them.

They fuel pump assembly is under the back seat and usually it's the junk yards staff that does the tearing up of the automobiles not the customers. These hacks here in N.Y. do that shyt all the time cause they don't give a fuuck about the interior unless somebody put's in a request for a specific auto interior when it comes in. Many of the Maximas' at the local pick/pull have fuucked up interior and broken windows so the interior get ruined anyway. Speaking of which I've been looking for a fuel pump assembly from a 89-91 Max GXE with Digital Dash Cluster for my Max but can only find the Analog type so far. I might just have to lay out the dough for the Sending Unit from Nissan. The fuucked up part is I have to get her reinspected to re-register her in like a week. I can't find this shyt anywhere, if anyone see's or hears something please hit me up, good looking.

My VE 5 speed has dual power leather seats and I don't have a problem with either.

If it is your car and you drive it, the driver seat rarely gets moved. Very few times does the passenger seat get moved, either, unless I have a really large front passenger (moved all the way back) or a really large rear passenger (moved forward).

The only time it takes longer is when I am vacuuming out the car and I move the seats all the way forward to do the rear and all the way back to do the front. Sometimes I vacuum it out without moving the seats at all, since there is still room to get an attachment under the seat.

Since the seats rarely get moved, I don't have any battery trouble.

One drawback I did notice is weight. All together, I bet it's about 50-70 lbs more for the power leather interior than the cloth non-power set I got from the parts car I had.

nah here its usually the people, most of the employees write "save exhaust and wheels for xxxxxx", otherwise the cars are intact. its the people that rip up stuff

the biggest Fuuuuuuuuuuuuu ive had was one day i was walking somewhere in the neighborhood and took a alley i never take, and there was a nice 1st gen Cressida with a bit of rust. it sat there for a year, and the guy that owns the place looks like a mountainman with Jesus hair and a huge beard, i was going to ask if he would sell it but thought thats kinda intrusive. one day it was gone out of the alley, in the same week i went to the junkyard, and guess what was there

Yep.. exactly. I have power leather in my black VE and I actually kind of like them. I rarely move the seats though unless I'm vacuuming it out. I don't know why the driver seat would be getting moved much at all unless it was some sort of communal car

i did have a offer on it though, last year a guy followed me home and said he wanted to buy it on the spot and to name a price but i denied him lol
