Exhaust Problem

I have a broken stud in my exhaust manifold and the shop won't do it, I have a 89' SE and I want to know if this is worth fixing.

There is a new tool out that is just for removing exhaust manifold studs which have broken. It looks like a big pair of flat nose pliers but it has a hole in the center of the ends and it is serrated to attach to the threads ( it also has an opening on the side for working overhead). The handles are about 18" or longer for leverage and I have been told they work quite well and sell for about $45. Some also weld a nut to the broken end and turn them out with a wrench.
