Questions about my vq35 Max

Hey guys i have 93 maxima with a 3.5 swap.
Im having 2 problems. One is my cluster doesnt go past
35mph.[could it be the speed sensor on the tranny or is it the cluster]
Second question my clutch engages very high [almost close to resting position, could it be adjusted?] Thanks in advance

And is there anyone one on here with a vq35 swap in a 3rd gen?

No ideas on the cluster. I would think it's in the cluster though since it just receives a signal from the tranny regarding speed and spits it out. if it was inside the tranny, then it would either work or it wouldn't.. not stop at 35mph.

does the car actually go past 35mph though? that would be another issue altogether.

As for the clutch, try bleeding the clutch system. if that doesn't work, adjust the rod on the back of the clutch pedal that pushes on the master cylinder. you can adjust that a bit and it should move the engagement height up or down.

This looks like the VQ35 swapped Max from NY from a couple years back. Is that you, or did you buy it from that guy?

Also, I assume you're running the stock VE tranny?
