IN need of a little advise
So when my max sits outside in the rain parked.... i get into it, start it up and it idles fine. as soon as i put it into reverse it starts to slug/bog out(does not die) till i give it some gas..... then when i stop to go into drive it does the same thing, also when in drive the same thing happens. as soon as i start going and am giving constant gas the car runs fine.
after about 5 min of driving the car stops doing that and idles/runs fine parked/ and or going.
I did fish tail into this post during the end of the winter, rear left quarter panel by the gas cap but did not hit the cap....
IM THINKNG WATER IN THE FUEL LINES? if so where would be the first place to look?
also has me thinking its the fuel lines because during the winter when i preheat the car to get to toasty .. i hop in and smell abit of gas, also a sign of craked fuel lines?>

When is the last time you changed your Spark plugs, check vacc lines, and do a quick scan of the other hoses looking for cracks and there could be water in the gas check the lines up under the rear driver side where the wheel is. . . i had the same problem once and it was Vac line leak. I hope this helps.
To test for water in tank put half a cap of methylated spirits in fuel tank, if it clears up then you need to drain the tank and clean it.
Metho acts as a separator, taking the water and gunk to float atop the fuel rather then going through the system.
