problems problems problems

Well guys, I recently grounded my vtcs and the sound went away, COMPLETELY. But now it seems like i'm having more problems. First off, when i start my car, the idle jumps real high to like 1500, then shoots down to 600 and back up to 1000. Then when i was taking the car around the block, when i would be at a stop sign stopped, the idle would drop to sometimes 300 and the car shakes really bad when completely stopped. Another problem is if i turn on the heater now, i can smell a burning smell. If you guys know what could be wrong, please let me know asap. THANK YOU AS ALWAYS.

I think this goes without saying that you should not drive that car in the condition it's in. That doesn't sound like a simple problem. Driving it would just cause more harm to the engine/tranny.

I suspect broken mounts.

broken mount to what?
engine mount would not cause this problem.

hunting is more of a spark/fuel issue. is the VTC grounded correctly? clean ground and etc? check the usual connetions, MAF, TPS, etc etc.

burning smell...figure out what's burning...run the heat on high and check to see if u smell the burning...check while you're at idle. it may be the car not running correctly causing the burning smell.
