Speaker wire question?

trying to figure out how to connect 2 front speaker wires togather without having to solder them. Im trying to connect my front speakers and a tweeter togather. Also before I hooked up my stereo system, my rear speakers would work, but now they dont come on at all, and they are aftermarket pioneer speakers. The bose system was taken out before I bought the car, Is there any certain color wire that I need to look for behind the cd player to see if its connected or disconnected?

Sounds like both of you need to go back to basic wiring class.... There's a lot more to installing an aftermarket stereo in a 3rd gen than just hooking up power and speaker wires and shoving it in the dash. amplifiers, speaker impedance, etc must all be considered.
The non-bose system has an amplifier for the rear speakers that must be removed.
The bose system has a host of wiring issues that need solved, and you're better off just replacing all of the speaker wires going to each door.

Wow what a coincidence. I'm in the middle of what maxinout93 is asking about. There are these things called crossovers. As for your rears like Matt said you need to go back and check your wiring. Something has to be crossed. I have my 6x9 wired for the back and just received my 6.5 mids and 1" tweeters for the front.

I had the bose system, but the previous owner removed it and had some frankenstein mess hooked up. I just replaced HU, speakers amps and wiring (pretty much rewired my entire audio system) instead of trying to figure out his chaos.

Lol Well I got the 2 front tweeters hooked up to my front speakers in each door, they are aftermarket. But my Rear speakers still dont work, Im a bit puzzled because before I installed my 15s and amp they worked fine. But as of now they dont come on at all. I also tried to unplug the rear speaker amp also to see if that was the problem, but got no results. Im stumped on this one.

Go back and undo everything you did one by one when you installed your 15s. You should find your error there.

I don't really remember too much of that, on my first third gen I decided to rewire the stock wiring but on my second one I opted to run new wires through the doors. :-/
