gxe starter issue

car takes a little while to start sumtimes, had another tranny installed last year and noticed that most gxe's I see hav a long bolt at the top, for the starter and another long bolt goes in at the bottom, mine does not have that long, bolt At the top or bottom. I tried tighning the top bolt on the starter and it kept turning.

Sorry bout the first post, I was tryning to rush and do it on my phone. But My issue is my starter on my gxe. It takes longer than normal to start the car. I dont know if its slow or how fast is it sopposed to turn over the engine. But I got under the car to tighten some tranny bolts, and noticed that the top starter bolt was loose. I tried to tighten it, but it just kept turning, and didnt tighten at all, so Im assuming that there is no contact with the flywheel/ engine like its sopposed to be because of the loose bolt. the bottom bolt is tight though, I may try to swap another 14mm bolt in there and see if that works.

I was actually thinking of this thread where you said
I found the problem!! My electronic ignition fuse was blow, resulting in the hard starting. I didnt even know it. I just pulled the fuse cover back and looked at it. I said hmm let me pull this fuse out and it was blown lol! put in a new one and she starts like normal.
and I questioned the logic involved there...........................

So now is THAT problem solved or not and this "starting issue" a new/different one?

See .................. this is what I don't get. People with problems will go to great lengths to post long soppy stories about the history of their miseries, also post at length about totally irrelevant actions taken that supposedly fixed their problems, and then when the logic behind it all gets queried, they will simply proclaim they don't know how/why and cannot explain it, but that is anyway what solved the problem.

IMO that thread is now completely useless as it can serve no reference purpose whatsoever for anybody with the same problem, yet you leave it hanging like that without owning up to the crap that was posted there and confirming that it indeed did not solve the problem .................... but you do start a new thread on the same topic while trying to disguise it with yet more irrelevant crap about a stripped bolt?

WTH - Why don't you kill this here thread and go continue with the issue over there? ...................... while posting facts and not fiction!

.......... and for the record - if your car has a known funky/butchered wiring harness, posting on an OEM support forum is completely useless - nobody can know what was done/changed there

I think you should show a little more respect to people, stop being so condescending, or simply not post at all.

So I guess in your mind there you are of the opinion that you now contributed positively to this thread with that?

You are posting in the wrong forum my friend - try here

Facts - that is all that is relevant on any support forum - including this one................ prove me "wrong" on any of the 3 posts you quoted there - I dare you.
