Little winter surgery on my Maxima

For some odd reason we have had 40 degree days in Nebraska so I just had to pull the car out and did a few pulls. Second one car died. Started up and was running rough. Checked timing first that all checked out so did compression test. Front cylinders were 40 less than back. Use to be even within 5. Pulled front head off first found head gasket was bad. Also some of the head bolts were little looser than should of been. Looks like bolts are stretched causing head to lift under boost. After removed back head found it was broke where mani bolts up. While got it all apart doing full port polish cams/gears, and valvetrain then bump redline to 7k. Will be posting pics of the progress.

how did u determine that the head gaskets were bad?? Ive never stripped my car dwn that far, only just to do fuel injectors, is it that much longer to take the heads off and see which one of my valves were bent?? Trynna swap in good heads so I can get bak up and running.

Well I knew I had a big drop in compression. Been wanting to build heads for sometime now and figured this was the time to do it. They had to come off anyways. Once I got them off it was clear front one was shot. Was glad to see gaskets not valves or ring lands broke.

Been a little slow on getting this done waiting on parts etc.

Intake ports

Exhaust ports Bad picture of them

Before lapping valves

After

Schneider dual valve springs. These are best can get for your money. Will be bumping rev limit to 7k
All assembled and got heads decked.

What I do for a living.
