I have a '96 SE Automatic and a '91 SE 5-speed and prefer to drive the '91. There is just something about the 3rd gens.

haha you sound just like me, i used to have a 92 se 5 spd, now have a 99 se-l...i too plan on getting another 3rd gen, and already have one picked out just need to talk to the guy. Black on nlack leather, 93 se 5 spd with 73k orig miles. He wants I think 7,500 for it but I wil get him down to less if I even decide to buy it.

I moved up to a 99 from a 91 also. All in all, I prefer my 91. I've only had this car for 7 months, and I have more creaks & rattles in this than I did in my 10 year old car. It drove better and the suspension was tighter. Don't get me wrong, I love my 99, it's just that the 91 was built 10X's better.

I'm working on gettin another car, but I want a 85-87 Regal that I can rebuild

Yup.. I'd take my 93SE over a 4th gen anyday- unless it already came with an SC. Other than that, the build quality isn't near what the 3rd gens are. I love the looks and body style, but the build quality, independent rear suspension, badass handling, and ability to toast Mustang GTs on a whim are why I bought a VE 5 spd.

thats what i was doing when i had both cars i would drive my 91 more then the 99. i was able to do things in the 91 that i wouldn't dare try in the 99.

Well if all of us had a VE 5-spd with all the mods you did, then I'm sure everyone would take a 3rd gen over a 4th gen
