I think the easiest fix is a replacement dash lol. I believe they make fiberglass and vinyl dash repair kits but its always a freakin mess unless you know what you are doing.

What sucks is when you have a rare car that needs a new dash and finding one is either super expensive or impossible.

Go to junkyard, get new dash. We have it easy.

Just take them and paint them then. Black should be easy to match at least.

Vinyl repair kits can actually work really well so just pick one up off of ebay or something. I think 3m makes a good one but I could be wrong

didnt james have a write up on this? or was that only for sun damaged dash's or somthing. I thought they cracked as a result of constant sunlight hitting it on hot days.

True to the last part. As for the first part: his write up was on the dash separating/ swelling away from defroster vents cuz of sun damage.

Ahh yah i remember correctly now the cracks tend up to happen closer to the vents and create a gap.

I figure cleaning out (gutting) the crack. Fill it with expanding foam. Cleaning off the excess. The matching paint won't be as hard as trying to match the imprint on the dash.

Thats another option. I've always wanted to remove one of these just for the hell of it. Removing mine for no reason just doesn't seem like such a good idea. Once i do it 4x I should get real good at it and remove one under an hour. Might have to go play in the jy for an evening.
