Did 3rd gen come with black leather seats? If yes which model?

 

It was an option on either model.

 

 

You can get a set of leather sets and install them in your max. I've got a set. Just saying!!

 

mine came with them. i have a 1990 brougham edition. i wish the previous owner would of took care of the seats but they didnt so im going towards the vinyl full set of seat covers.

I am not 100 percent sure, but I think the newer models(92+) had either factory leather with power seats or dealer installed leather that was either power or manual. The dealer installed leather looks "puffy" compared to the factory leather. I think the dealer leather interior also has leather in the door cards.

I have owned two VEs, both with black leather from the factory and they both had leather seats and velour in the door cards. IIRC, MrGone's white VE had dealer installed manual leather seats and he had leather in the doors, too.

I could be wrong about some of it, but there are two different kinds of leather seats that I have seen in person. I am pretty sure that if you find power seats (and you have manual ones), the wiring is under the carpet for making them power.

 

Had Blue leather seats in my 89 max that got totaled. Wonder if someone ended up with them. I always wondered if someone from the org took the hedders and exhaust...

 

Yep, except I've never seen a dealer installed leather power seats, I've had two dealer installed leather cars, manual seats with the leather door cards/inserts/whatcha-ma-call-ems.
