Happy with the old VG

Was out this weekend doing some cruising, when I met up with 2 other Org guys both with 4th gens, and another guy with a 200sx SE-R. We were messing around all nite. I knew I had no chance against the 4th gens, but wanted to see how fast the SE-R really was. Our first race was from about 40-110, neither of us pulled on each other all the way up to 110, (I had 2 other people in the car and he had one person). I was surprised that he didn’t pull on me at all. Next time was from a stop light, and well I am sure you all know how that went, I was with him for a sec, and then he just kept on pullin away. I knew I couldn’t beat him, but I just wanted to see how fast they really were. I know he had an exhaust and an intake, I am sure he had other mods too. Over all I was happy that the VG could keep up in the rolling start.

Also go my windows tinted 20% all around. Used to have crappy purple tint (there when I bought it) but now I've got much better lookin windows.

Don't get to excited. Wait until Escorts and the like start kicking your butt. Then you will change your sig to read like mine...

Havent had the problem yet. Which escort are you having trouble with. I know the ZX-2 is the one of the fastest but I dont think they are that fast.

Looks like I won't have a problem with that escort. I don't know if there are any that are faster then those, are there?? (16.53 my last time at the track.)

I raced an SE-R in my 91 GXE, all i know is it had exhaust and maybe intake, punched it at 50- i held a 1 car lead till 80, when OMG, he just walked me like i was standing still, from 80 to 100 i went from having a 1 car lead and holding, to being back 3 car lengths. That car was awesome, after that i came about . that close to buying one but got a VE 5spd instead, now i wanna see if he can pull again

I would have figured a max would beat the SE-R off the line. hmm

I was hoping so too, but manual with 140 hp, and being 2533lbs, the max has some trouble with the SE-R. Hopefully after the y, cat, and UDP, this May when I get back from school, will help the max do a little better.
