slap/clank noise from block

ok so my brother maxima 91 low miles engine developed a slap after a fuel injector leak. so i know it must be a bent rod or something must of gone in to the intake runner by accident that we didnt notice so is keeping the valve from closing fully so it hitting the piston. the slap is not like a rattle can (constant) and the car just off right after so the car has not been driven at all after that so damage will be nominal (hoping). so to my question well more of my plan to fix bent rod or valve is to go pull a piston/rod or valve from the junk yard and replace the bad one from the car but still use the same bearings and piston rings from his car. hopefully you guys get the picture of what im trying to do. engine rebuild or used engine is out the question since financially we are not good at the moment since **** hit the fan for us and luckily my car still going even after a 2 weeks before his car going bad my car blew revers (77 810 datsun 5speed) so yeah thats us.

Sorry to tell u but those are your only reliable options. If not rebuilding or replacing the motor than you might as well not touch it. Gonna be back at square 1 regardless of what short cut you take. Either do it right or not at all. I know you're strap for cash but you save yourself money and time by waiting until time & money allow you to go the correct route.

but wouldnt my idea work in theory since im still going to use the same bearing from the old piston so their for keep the same wear pattern match bearing and crank and same with piston rings (even though i know the rings i wont be able to line up right). since the shop would basically just swap out the piston and but new bearings in and re-hone the block.
