Recently my factory alarm stopped liking my aftermarket alarm. Use to be that I could unlock my doors/trunk with my remote and open it with no problem. Ever since this recent conflict, I have to disarm with remote AND re-unlock the door with the key to keep the alarm from going off. I would take it back to the shop that installed it but there in HI and now I'm in TX. Any suggestions?

When installing the aftermarket alarm, they tap the door lock/unlock wires to arm/disarm the factory alarm as well as unlock/lock the doors. Could be that the wires that are tapped into your factory alarm have come loose. I'm sure any local stereo/alarm shop could fix it for you. They might charge you dignostic fee though

I installed my Ungo 9000 and only utilized the horn wire on the oem alarm. I'd say your set up is bigger than I did mine, I didn't want it to roll up my windows, pop trunk, or close sunroof! I taped into the emergeancy blinkers in the switch above the stereo and bought a light from Radio Shack and put it in the little grilled slot that is located on the stereo cover part of the dash with some metal tape behind it to make it easier to see. It sounds like they taped into the door sensor wire either at the alarm under the steering column or at the driver's side door jam. I'd just track down the wires from the unit itself and unplug them. I just use my motion and shock sensors unless I'm in a strange area and I set both to lock the starter.

hey you know it's not that hard to make your trunk open with your ungo alarm if you have some spare channels. All you need to do is tap the trunk trigger wire either from the factory alarm or in your door.
