The third gen max (J30) had an independent rear
suspension, the fouth gen (A32B) had a soild rear
axle. I love the VQ30DE it's as bulletproof as a
VG30E with a lot more power. Looking at things it
apears that it would not be much trouble to bolt a
VQ30DE into a J30 Max, is anybody trying this?

It will be a LOT of trouble..
size is okay, but look where the engine mounts are.. they're on the left and right sides of the VQ engine, as opposed to the front and back on the VG and VE..
Kaleb and I were discussing this a while back.. it'll take a LOT of work to get it in there.. you might as well just drop a VG30E-T in it from an old Z and you'll have more power.
