My K&N sucks....

A few weeks back I pulled my air filter out to take a gander, and I held it up to the sun and saw several small holes in the filter, as if someone had taken a pin needle to it? When I cleaned the filter about year and half ago it didn't have the these holes before or after the cleaning... And now there is a small amount of dirt through out the intake pipe and i'm sure on MAF as well.. Anyways...I was just going to replace it with a Nissan filter and be done with it, but I thought that I would give another aftermarket filter a shot. So far these are ones I have found that I might consider using.

http://apexi-usa.com/shop/index.php/...ake-panel.html

http://www.aemintakes.com/search/pro...?Prod=28-20031

Has anyone used any of the above filters and liked them? And might there be other filters out there that you guys are using??

I thought about the Popcharger, but I really don't care for the look of a cone filter...

I've had my K&N drop for a while in my Max and 5thgen Lude with satisfaction. Some people expect too much from an air filter...

I also have a K&N on my 5.5 gen. Gotta get another pop charger for it and the 3rd gen.

call up K&N and see if they will give you another one. for some reason the stillen one rubbed on something and it wore a slight hole in the filter. called up K&N and they shipped out a new one ASAP.

otherwise stay with the OEM filter.

I will not be contacting K&N for a possible replacement filter as I have always had the idea of a "serviceable" filter being sketchy. Now that I found this I will be using a one time use filter as they seem to do their job more effectively.

Definitely leaning towards the Cosworth or the Nissan filter.
