sad day cuz my frontr lip crack in half. help

well i found a stillen front lip that im picking up in 2 weeks locally. but my ? is does bigger rims increase my car heights because its toooooooooooooo low with the lip right now?

im thinking about getting 17'' rims. and i think my intrax springs are 1.75 drop. what a good tires size and rim size to increase height without removing the springs?

Yes rim size increases your cars height.

No, rim size does not increase or decrease you cars right hide. if you have a 16" wheel with regular profile stock tires, and you are wanting to get 18" wheels, with low profile tires, it could be the same as your 16's. tire profile changes the ride height of you car, not nessesarily the rims size

as long as the diameter is the same as stock...the height will not change.

Lmao. I guess I'll get 17" with 215/55/17
I have right now 215/55/16. Would this make a little difference

those numbers WOULD cause an increase.... because you changed the rim size without changing anything else.

Stock tire height is 25.5"
Your current is 25.3"
The 215/55/17 would be 26.3".

With that size you're going to want to make sure you aren't too close to the strut towers, or else you risk your tire binding against the lower spring seat. If you get the maxima wheels that I used to have, you might need spacers since the spring perches are sightly angled, so the further away you are from them the more room you have for a tall tire.

What kind of spacers I should get and where can I find them for a good price ?

This is what i mean by the underside of the perches are angled, because the whole thing is angled (kingpin inclination). This pic is a z31 front strut but it's very similar to a Maxima rear strut.

wheel spacers with a 5x114.3 bolt pattern If you get the 5.5gen SE wheels you should be able to do a 15mm spacer which is thick enough to use studded spacers. Go hub-centric if possible.. i forget what our center bore is, but it will be the same for all 5-lug maximas.

This is a 15mm studded hub-centric spacer. Note the stock studs poking thru, and note the hub-centric lip in the middle that will align the wheel.

If you decide to run oversize tires, see if the wheels will fit without spacers, and if they won't, see if you can figure out how far away you are by adding some 12mm washers until they do fit.... with the car in the air, NOT on its own weight.

What fits in the air should fit on the ground b/c the wheels and struts move together as an assembly so the clearance between them should be fixed.

Wasn't your lip fiberglass? That's why it cracked.

Urethane (Stillen) is where it's at. 10+ years here on my Stillen

Either way, your front end can only get damaged if you, well, run it into things. You can't be lowered and be one of those people who pulls up into parking spots until your tires hit the curb. You have to permanently change the way you drive.

Are you serious by calling me out as a ricer, you don't even know me. Never will be one so step off.

Anyways I'm picking up my stillen front lip for $60 in 2 weeks. Got to get use to driving low but I learn my lesson. And as for the fiberglass kit I bought it for $70 on Craiglist. I still have it n I believe I can repair. Either way I'm still going to put on the stillen front lip.

No not calling you a ricer, just stating the law. For example someone removes rev limiter, puts car on the dyno and blows up their engine. I'll be the first to admit that if my car had a body kit on it, i'd probably damage it within a week.
