I've never been much of a chrome guy..... but this looks really sweet and fits the look of a restored 3rd gen.

I do too. In fact if I won the lottery I'd still be driving this car. ...of of course it would be a more awesome version of itself, but still.

Anytime I see a cool/noteworthy/modded car in a parking lot somewhere I always walk up to it to see if it's a manual. If not, it instantly loses about 40 percentage points of its cool factor and I sneer internally at the wuss who drives a modded auto.

I know guy with moded z31 auto. There reasons for some people keeping autos. His due to his leg just can't drive manual.

Oh yes I realize there are legitimate reasons people need to drive autos. I was half-kidding of course. Obviously I don't think somebody who needs to drive an auto for a physical reason/limitation is a wuss. I was making a generality and there are always exceptions.

I will say I absolutely do not understand people choosing autos over manuals if they're true enthusiasts and have no limitation that keeps them from driving a manual. Yes modern autos can be made to shift lightning quick (and Aaron's car is an auto), but they are just plain not as fun or engaging or cool IMO. My sky blue VE was an auto and I used to be an auto apologist but quickly learned better. Only manual cars since then.

You have to be in control of the car and not the car in control of you. This is what my dad told me when he taught me how drive a 5spd. I hated my car when it use to be an auto and was about to let it go to the junkyard after the 3rd auto tranny blew up on me. Finally found a 5spd trans. by accident and the rest is history.

I got rid of probably the nicest black on black 94 SE in 4 states last year partially because I bought a truck I thought was gonna be my daily, but it was easier to give up because it was auto. The car I have now is not half the car that one was but I'm happier with it and feel its worth restoring because its a manual. Probably should have just converted the other one, but it'll be 'aight.

I do think automatics have their place; I don't think I'd want a full size truck or really any bigger vehicle that doesn't handle well with a manual. Just seems unnecessary. Having said that, I can't wait to see how my 69 bronco drives with a 3 on the tree... I've never driven one like that.

Those 16 inch sawblades look awesome!! They're keepers for sure. My Max had chrome sawblades on it when I bought it. They actually looked pretty good but they were only 15s and the chrome was pitting. I'm not much of a chrome guy either but the wheels I have on my max now were free so I can't complain too much. Annnyways, nice ve5 man! Keep the updates coming, that thing is pretty sweet

Finally got a hold of a set of Oem fog lights from a Pullapart yesterday. Got them off without a hitch, too bad my car is from New York... It's remarkably free of rust, but damn if all the bolts aren't. I had to drill out every mounting hole and run new nuts and bolts through. Guess I should have expected it...

Funny, I had commented on the fact I had never seen another ice blue SE or an SE with no sunroof like james92se's first car, and yet the car I pulled parts off of was just that. It has a sunroof, but it was not factory.

Other than the obvious dents, which probably happened post mortem, it was a nice car. Too bad it had to meet an end like that. I also pulled the center caps off of the wheels since they were not in too bad of shape and will fit right onto my z31 wheels.
