Front suspension issues

I'am currently changing the front ball joints alone, I removed them with some difficulty. How do I get the transverse link to get close enough to the ball joint to bolt it in place?
Another question, how do you you remove the outer tie rod end. I have soaked it i kroil/PB blaster for several days, yet I cannot get even the lock nut off.

what is the transverse link that you're referring to??

sway bar end link?
lower control arm?
steering knuckle?

if it's lower control arm...you can lift up the other wheel to reduce the tension from the sway bar....or use a jack and lift up the control arm and bring it closer to the ball joint. FYI...you should have the ball joint bolted to arm and bring the arm up to the steering knuckle.

for the tie rod...you sure you got the cotter pin out? you might need an impact gun to get the nut off.

That is a silly name the fsm gives to the lower control arm.
I'm waiting for the bolt assembly(ball joint) to get in stock at courtesy, one of the threads got messed up. Worse case scenario is that I will rethread the damaged bolt.
Thanks DanNY for the tip, it worked great.
