3rd Gen clock fix
3rd Gen clock fix
I haven't seen this link posted, so I figured I would.
I did the fix last night. Took me about an hour to disassemble, fix, then reassemble the car.
Clock works like a charm....

it is actually in that FAQ post at the top but you gotta go through my main page and then the how-tos and find it so it's not directly linked from here
btw, if you can't solder, Matt93SE will do it for you for a small price

I don't know if it means anything, but I am getting my degree in electronics engineering, and this fix will work for 99% of all clock problems, so I recommend it.

boygenius - I'm in my junior year at Georgia Tech majoring in Electrical Engineering but to be honest this is more electronics technician type stuff; also Matt93SE is studying EE as well but I'm better than him

By "bridged solder joints" do you mean that no two solder joints can touch or the whole clock will be screwed up?
Also - my circuit board is different from the one in Craig's picture, mine only has one capicitor (C1), and the layout is a lil different.
