I did the fix last night. Took me about an hour to disassemble, fix, then reassemble the car.

You can get one at www.nopinion.com, but its 233 plus another 50 for the door pieces, so I dunno.

 

I don't know if it means anything, but I am getting my degree in electronics engineering, and this fix will work for 99% of all clock problems, so I recommend it.

I fixed mine by going to a junk yard and yanking one out of an old max. Best part is -- the guy just gave it to me!

I tried to fix my clock and instead i fried it the large whiteish capacitor?? or something like that was sparking oh well off to the junkyards

 

Must have done it wrong ...aka... bridged solder joint. Just doing what was on that paper shouldnt have made it mess up unless u used the wrong caps. Good Luck!!!

 

I didnt change the caps i just re did all the joints and i think it was a joint under the thingy that was sparking

Probably was then. I wouldn't know without seeing it. I can't believe Nissan charges that much for a new one though. That sucks. Lol.

By "bridged solder joints" do you mean that no two solder joints can touch or the whole clock will be screwed up?

Also - my circuit board is different from the one in Craig's picture, mine only has one capicitor (C1), and the layout is a lil different.
