1989 SE Performance Info Request

Hello,
Yesterday I posted a request for locating performance and upgrade parts for a 1998 SE. I made a typo and meant to say a 1989 SE. I apologize for this error and hope all will be forgiven.

I was looking for sources for body kits, hoods, headlights, springs, etc., before I started this project and thought this forum would be a good source for some expert advice.

Thanking everyone in advance for any assistance,
Steve R

There are a couple of companies that still make performance parts.

One of the best "bang for the buck" modifications is a better Y-pipe:

I am not sure if Matt Blehm is still making suspension mods, but here is his website:

You are on this site, so clearly you know how to use Google and ebay. There are very few choices anymore for upgraded parts for these cars. You can buy used from a member through the classified section or maybe find some on ebay or get really lucky and find a vendor that still stocks something.

I think KYB is the only company still making performance struts and I don't even know who still makes new springs. I don't think anyone makes body kits, unless Stillen still does.

Good luck.

for body kits, the only non horribly riced kit is Stillen. lowering springs, theres not much left. best mild drop is Eibachs, if you want to go lower go with Ksport GT. struts, Koni or Tokico are best but they were discontinued years ago and nobody sells them new anymore, so you either have to search forever for used ones or go with the next best thing which is KYB GR2

exhausts, you can get the full MES mandrel piping kit and add your own resonator and muffler. that and the Warpspeed Ypipe. headlights, IMO Euro ones look best but theyre kinda hard to find nowadays. hoods, theres only a few CF ones leftover from old group buys, anything else is gonna have to be custom. if you want to go bigger, you can use turbo parts off of turbo Z31 and turbo your VG30E but its not a weekend job like everyone thinks

all in all, theres little aftermarket for 3rd gens anymore.
